How to build rapport when you are in community


Creating rapport or trust is just like a building. It needs a strong foundation to last longer. When you’re not building rapport with your colleagues, it can cause conflicts or arguments.

  • Be open-minded
    • Be open-minded on everything, about others’ own perspectives, attitudes, points of view to everyone. We have a different mindsets in every situation that we encounter. Try to understand and analyze to avoid conflicts between your colleagues. Try to put yourself in their shoes.
  • Surpass your limits
    • Don’t limit yourself to share your experience and knowledge with others. It is a win-win scenario. Step up and boost your confidence when you want to prove to them that you can do it.
  • Support each other
    • Supporting each other is one of the ways to build rapport in a community. Support and show them that you are interested in what they share or talk about. Celebrate together for every accomplishment, either big or small.
  • Show some respect
    • Give respect to everyone as you respect yourself. Listen attentively to them when they are talking. Keep your tone down when you have an argument with your colleague. Don’t insult anyone and keep your smile open to everyone.
